So, my first CD release party ever is just round the corner and we are running around like chickens (free range of course) with our heads cut off to get everything ready. When I started this project, I thought the hardest part was going to be writing and recording the CD. Well!!! That was pretty much the easiest and smallest part of it! It’s been all the other details that take up most of my time and energy, although these days it’s really my manager and publicist doing the most of the work. But there’s so much to do from picking fonts for the website (agonizing decision!), colours and layout for the CD cover, booking plane tickets, organizing rehearsal schedules, reading and approving storyboards for the next video, editing my Forbidden Flutes CD (also being released this year) and trying to fit in singing, writing and practicing! Oh, I didn’t know how good I had it as a kid when I could just tell my parents I was going to practice and that got me out of everything!

That being said, I’m having the time of my life with music occupying my every waking (and most of my sleeping) hour. The launch party is going to be held at the super trendy (but in a good way), hip hop, mouthwatering joint, Vertical, in Toronto. Look for details on the website on how to get tickets.

FEBRUARY

I am looking forward the live shows I have planned for March, I will be arriving in Toronto March 1 to do some rehearsals in Toronto to be ready for the first show at the Drake Hotel on March 5. I will be attending CMW and handing off an award during the indiustry awards on Thurs March 8. Sennhesier Canada has invited me to perform at the Sennheiser Lounge on March 10. Inconscience Productions is presenting a fundraising production which you can find out more information on at www.extensionstheplay.com. I will playing on the friday and sunday eve shows.
